how do your girls get their measurements taken? Do they go to another bridal store? I figure the other bridal store wouldn't be willing to take their measurements if they aren't buying from them?

On each website (gownfind or Netbride) they have the measurement charts for each designer - you can determine what size to order according to the girls measurements.

I would get someone you know that knows what they are doing to measure them. My Mom is a seamstress so she's measuring me and all my girls and them I'm ordering from netbride.

I am in a bridal party in Boston next weekend and had to send my measurements to the shop up there so they could order me the correct size. I went to my local tailor and he happily measured me. HTH!

We went to a bridal store to have them measured. It was hilarious. They went in to try on the gowns then we asked that they get measured....I'm sure they knew what was up, but I told the girls pay attention to what she writes down and memorize it! Later that night I ordered the gowns from Netbride.com...absolutely no problems.

Most bridal shops will give you a courtesy measurement. All my BM are from OOT, so they did it this way.

we ordered our BMs through ellaparkbridal.com for raylia dresses. the girls just went to a local seamstress and had their measurements taken and we are using the same one to do their alterations when they come in and my MOH and one BM actually tried on raylia dresses at a dress shop when we were looking and were able to see what size they would need.

5 of my bridesmaid are from out of town, they just had someone they knew measure them. We got them from Phyllis from Gownfind. And they can call her with the measurements and she has a chart to find the size. We also just called in our flower girl measurements to her. She's awesome!
