Re: If you used Lillettes....how did you feel about the alterations?
I have used Lillettes for bridesmaid gowns and the alterations dept isn't always the friendliest, however they do good work.

Francesca is very sweet. She did a great job with the alterations - and she gave me a huge hug when I picked up my gown. Find out if you can request her.

I am going to see about that....I was there on Tues with one of my BM and I found them to be really unfriendly.....I love the sales department and I was especting the same hospitality in the alterations dept ..but I am feeling the alterations people leave a lot to be desired
And the alterations people turned my FSIL from shopping there for her bridal gown

Re: If you used Lillettes....how did you feel about the alterations?
I got a bridesmaid dress from there and for those of you who don't know, I am a designer in the fashion industry and I told her how I wanted it altered... and she was like ... NO that is IMPOSSIBLE! and Rolled her eyes... Ugh... I hated everytime I went there.I also thought they were over priced for what they were being asked to do. JMO.
Then I had to go another time to pick up the dress and I had my goddaughter and they wouldn't let my FH come downstairs with my goddaugther even though there was NO ONE ELSE down stairs... I could understand if there was someone else down there and they were all naked... But there wasent and my god daughter was a histerical mess upstairs b/c she couldn't be with me... and I couldn't have her running around while they were fitting me...
Anyway... They did a good job... my disappointment was more of their attitued then their actual work

I hope I'll have lost a lot of weight by the time I go in too. I hope they don't yell at me.

I'm very happy with them so far. I'm using Paula. She is no nonsense, but she really is sweet when she warms up to you. They did a fabulous job adding a panel of fabric and corset to the back. It really looks great. I'm having a third fitting tomorrow and I will see how the top fits. I needed so many fittings because I gained 2 inches in my chest from working out and the dress couldn't button up my back! But I really think they do a great job.

I am using Francesca also, and she is really sweet--However, I went with my FSIL for her dress and the lady was so rude, I thought I was going to have to say something-Hope the dresses come out okay!!! :)

no don't get nervous.....everyones experience is different. just be at each bm's fitting, if you can, or schdule them for all at the same time. it'll be fine, you'll see

I am in complete SHOCK! I got my wedding dress and BM dresses there! They were nothing but WONDERFUL!!!
Francesca did all my alterations my dress was perfect!!! AND it needed a lot of work!
Perhaps they were just having a bad day! Trust my I went to Lillettes because I had gotten 3 BM dresses there for other weddings i was in.....and I LOVED them!
Sorry you felt that way but trust me you will NOT be disappointed with how your dress looks when they are done!

Lila was fantastic. They are definitely no-nonsense and one of them made my MOH a little sad re: weight issues....
I would say that you need to be firm about what you want. Also, don't let them cut your BM's dresses while they are in them. They did that and made it too short.

Re: If you used Lillettes....how did you feel about the alterations?
My mom got her dress altered there, and they did a HORRIBLE job. To the point where they actually had to cut the back of her dress and put in a corset back, b/c it wouldn't fit otherwise! I bought my wedding dress there and had no problems, but I got it altered elsewhere. In all honesty, after what my mom went through, I wouldn't recommend them for alterations. The dress she bought was less than $200, but she wound up spending over $500 when you factor in alterations!!!

As long as the alterations are good, that's all I care about! So far, I've had amazing experiences with them... but nothing to do with alterations yet.
