If you were a guest at a wedding...

Original post by KK Holiday

What favor would YOU want to get?

Something edible? (cookie, candy etc)

something you can take home and use? (candle, frame, coaster)

Another thing, these days I even prefer a donation. I' d much rather the couple spend money on something worthwhile than on a trinket that some people may not even keep. I like seeing when I sit down that they chose to do a good thing w/their money. They don't need to waste it on me, I just want to have a good time at the wedding.

which is exactly why i'm doing donations.

I think it always makes the most sense if you are going to do a donation to also give them a little something. Imthinking of doing a donation and then giving them something yummy.

I like the idea of having the cookies or edibles with a note that says what you donated. People always like to get favors - even if they are something small

A bottle of wine or a donation to charity.

I want to do a donation but FH doesnt want to!!!

I was going to do small loaves of pumpkin, banana bread, etc and on the tag have a donation.

Would it be bad to donate to an animal shelter when there are so many human causes in need?

I dont think an animal shelter donation would be bad at all. I am in animal rescue so I'm probably jaded, but my family would completely see why i would do that. Most of the rescues get little to no money so they do really need it. Personally i would give to a smaller rescue instead of one of the big guys since they get govt funding and grants.

I'm a big fan of bottled wine. I like CDs and picture frames too (4x6 size, not the tiny ones). Edible is good too. You're not going to please everyone.

this is tough cuz i love so many of the lil trinket type things! i think they are sooo cute yet expensive and i`d hate to spend the money on them for people to just throw them away! i love the dolphin bottle opener and part of me says ok thats sensable people need to pen bottles but the other part of me says ummm not everyone wants to use a dolphin to open their bottles. sooo i`m going with ediable. i`m having a beach theme and i`m using lil pails and filling them with seashell shaped chocolates. and the pails are cheap enough that if it never gets reused it`s no biggie

yeah we are donating to an alzehiemers org. b/c his Grandmother has it, so its sentimental as worthwhile.. All thos favors if not useful go in the garbage or in adraw. I am going to make chocolates to with the donation card.

As long as it's tasteful I'd like something to take home and use. FH and I are doing champange glasses with our names and wedding date on them (with a small picture of a bride and groom) tastefully done.

I'm weird..I like everything!! hehe. Your not going to find one thing that EVERYONE is going to find useful..and even if you go with something edible I'm sure theres a diabetic at your wedding. You really can't please everyone!
