if you were invited to a bridal or baby shower...

Original post by PapayaChic

would you expect to have unlimited beer? there would already be unlimited wine.

im currently trying to help out with a friend's baby shower and am helping my mother with my own bridal shower since my sis is MIA, and i see packages with unlimited wine.

would you think it'd look cheap to have soda, coffee, cappucino, and wine, but NO beer?

thanks

I wouldn't expect any alchohol at a bridal, and especially a baby shower.

jess, dont stress!

Honestly, it is not uncommon for showers to have no wine beer or alcohol. Showers are normally held in the afternoon so if its not on the table, its no big deal.
Unlimited wine is more than plenty!!!

I wouldnt add on the beer!

Well first I hate beer so I would not care. But as far as a opinion for a baby shower you shouldn't even think about having beer or wine! For a Bridal shower having wine is nice and I guess the beer would be a plus...

Wow.... I must be hanging out with the wrong crowd. Most everyone at my baby/bridal shower (it was a combo event) had a glass of wine or punch & I didn't think ANYTHING of it. Seemed normal to me. No one got drunk, that I noticed.

It also didn't bother me at all that there was alcohol. Just b/c I can't have a drink doesn't mean no one else should. Its not like they were feeding booze to my baby. JMO.

No beer is perfectly A-OK.....I don't think I've ever been to one where beer was offered. We did Champagne punch & momosas (sp?) for my friends & my sisters
