that you could not attend. What is a reasonable amount to send someone as a gift? The wedding is in California two weeks before ours.
TIA

Re: If you were invited to a wedding.....
I would say depends on the relationship... but $150-$200 would be nice

It depends on the relationship. If money is an issue I would ask the bride where they are registered and get a gift off of the registry.

Then would say what you can afford. Really you are not going and it's nice that you are even still sending a gift... HTH..

I would say 100-150 - if you aren't close with them, then its just icing on the cake...its not like you are covering a plate

Most of the checks we got for people who aren't coming were around $100

I would say $100 is plenty. You are not going so you don't need to cover the price of a plate and your FH is not close to them anyway so it is nice that you are even sending a gift. JMOT

Re: If you were invited to a wedding.....
I would do either a gift off the registry or about $100. My cousin is from CA and we went to her wedding last year and CA is very different from here. Guests usually gave presents and not envelopes. Just an FYI, so I would probably go with something off the registry.

I agree. Send a gift instead of a check.

Re: If you were invited to a wedding.....
Wow you girls are generous.............
1. your not attending so you dont have to send as much 2. its right before your wedding, so they should understand that your funds are limited. 3. i know you said his cousin, but if he's not close...then I would say maybe $50 - 75.00
Im not cheap, but if you think about it..........your not going so $100.00 is a little much.
thas just my opinion

That is what I was thinking, but they did not register. They are an older couple and want to go to Greece next year.

Ask if they have a honeymoon registry. They might make one at your suggestion.
