If your doing your own centerpieces...when are you bringing them to the hall?
Just curious, but, if you do your own Floral centerpieces... when do you go and bring it to the hall? I want the flowers to stay fresh and not die before the guests arrive for the e-party. If I can guarantee that the flowers look fresh, then I may just go and do it myself and save all that extra $$ on centerpieces.

I did my own floral centerpieces for my e-party, brought them to the hall and set them up with the help of my FI and parents. I arrived at the hall about an hour before the guests to make sure everything was organized, the DJ was there, the tables were set as I planned, etc... The flowers stayed fresh and beautiful all week actually (my parents took one of the centerpieces home so I was able to see how long the flowers lasted).

Where did you get the flowers from? How many days before your e-party did you start working on your centerpieces? Did you have to put them in a cool place or avoid heat? Thanks

I bought the flowers in Costco the night before. I made the centerpieces in the early morning and kept them in my basement until we brought them to the hall. I had a lot of help putting them together, so that is why I was able to do them the same day.
Just another suggestion in case you don't want to make them yourself... Super Stop & Shops (new one opened in Lake Ronkonkoma) or the new Waldbaum's (in Hicksville) have a really nice floral dept's and will make centerpieces for you. You may want to check them out for pricing.

I will either have the florist set them up along with the flowers I get, or I will bring them to Giorgio's about 1-2 days before!
I am doing a bronze plate with dried fruit/fall leave potpourri and candles. I am also planning on doing dome flowers mixed in with it. I want to see what the florist thinks of the idea. I want it to be very fall-ish!

That sounds very pretty. I really like the idea of putting dried fruits in the centerpiece. Very unique.
