Do you include his title in the invitation? Like, would you say 'Dr. John Smith' or 'John Smith, D.O.' ??? Or is it not proper to indicate his title at all?

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
IMHO
You can write Dr. or just use his regular name. It is yours and his personal choice. I have seen it done both ways.

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
I don't think on the invitation it's necessary...My boss always refers to & introduces himself to even the patients with just his first & last name...& I really like that.
I think it's more intimiate with just your names with out a title on the invites you know? But if the return address is coming from him & you then I'd say yes on that part :)

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
my DH isn't but my parents are, and we didn't include their Dr. titles on the invitation. Just their first and last names.

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
we included it in the invitation but not with the MD at the end. We could have gone either way its just a matter of preference weather u choose mr or dr. If he feels strongly about it then put it on after all he earned the title with all the money spent and years in school

personal preference, if i was a guest receiving, i wouldn't question if there was a title or wasn't.

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
We are writing
'Dr Angelo + Last Name'
because it was WAY too wordy doing
'Dr Angelo Giovanni Last Name'..
It depends on if your FH wants it on the invite...mine did.
Also-invitations places have a lot of great input on wording when it comes to doctors in the family. We are working with Invitations and Beyond and they are fantastic.

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
Both FH and I are doctors, we just put our first names.
on our envelopes (a lot of our friends are from school) we put their title as we felt that as that was the proper address

Re: If your fiance is a physician....
I am a MD as well and did not include my title. Most people know anyway. I think it can come across as pompous but I am not sure.

I am a doctor and I did not include my title in the invitation (hosted by us, not our parents) I didn't think it was necessary, JMO
