What floral arrangements did you get to decorate for the ceremony?
I didnt get much because where Im getting married is in the courtyard with a garden based on the season so I thought I didnt need much. I got to balls of babies breath for the first 2 rows and thats it....oh and rose pedals for the isle.
Now Im thinking, well, if it rains then the ceremony will be inside and I wont have anything for decoration!! What should I do? Should I order stuff from my florist just as back up if it does rain and still use it for the outside??
Ah! So much to think about!!!!
Sorry so long and boring.....

Re: If youre getting married at the RH....
We just had a aisle runner and an arch with flowers over it . . which was great.
The garden sounds fabulous! I would wait to see the weather report a week out. you could probably add something to your floral order then if you needed. . also ask the RH what they usually do in terms of rain contingencies. .

You think Ill be able to order something like an arch a week before?? I have a meeting with my florist this saturday so Ill def ask her but thats a great idea! thank you!
They dont decorate anything the RH.....its at a site so all they take care of is tables, seats, food, and linens and things. Everything else is up to us.

well if they have an arch or something at their shop (which mine did) then they could def order flowers a week out unless you were wanting something more obscure that they had to order from far away. .

i am in the same boat as you. after much reseach and disccusion i have decided on a aisle runner. unless you have the money i would not do anything else. ceremony is only 20 minutes. i think just the aisle runner is fine

Re: If youre getting married at the RH....
We weren't going to do much flowers except 2 large arrangements on each side of the altar on pedestals and 8 small bouquets of flowers going down the aisle on the sides of the chairs but 2 weeks before the wedding we decided to do an arch full of flowers. We had an outdoor wedding and it made such a difference and we're glad we spent the extra $$$ on it.

Re: If youre getting married at the RH....
The RH has a gazebo so we are decorating that with fabric and flowers. I am making the aisle runner and having fabric run along the chairs. And finally I am having fmil make covers to cover the tops of the chairs.

Re: If youre getting married at the RH....
we're just having an arch of flowers for the gazebo...if it rains, the RH has an arch they use for inside, so the flowers will just be put on the arch instead of the gazebo. one florist i met (not using them) was trying to get me to get columns and big arrangements...etc etc....not really 'me'....plus, for 20 minutes, it's just not worth it for me. but that's just me.

Re: If youre getting married at the RH....
we got married at the gazebo area of the RH... they had their own flowers outside and we just decorated with tulle and the RH put the aisle runner for us and then we had our florist scatter rose petals down the aisle.

Re: If youre getting married at the RH....
2 stands with big potted flower things from the florist (im very technical)
also danfords walkway has hanging flowers everywhere so I didn't have to do much but burtons recommended that I do the above so that they could be taken indoors to my rh after.
