i would stay completely out of it. your bridesmaids don't have to see your fsil after the wedding but you do. if you look like you're picking sides it will be worse. just have your moh keep her in the loop with a group e-mail and let it blow over. you have enough time before your shower.

easier said than done though..........

jmo: if you ask people to chip in or accept their offer to chip in they should have a voice in the decisions.

since your mom and sister are paying for the whole thing now i don't think they have to take your fsil's opinion in their choices. although it would still be nice to include her in the decision making process.

I think you sis is handling it very well. Some people are just like that. My sis had 2 showers b/c her MIL & SIL decided that they wanted one in penn and just planned it without any input from myself, my mom or my sis other BM from penn. My sis was very hurt that none of our family was there. We had to throw her a NY shower because she was so upset and hurt.

I'd say the two options are to either let your FSIL & FMIL plan their own shower for their side of the family or just invite them like any other guest to the shower your sis is throwing.

The rest of us who are bridesmaids as well as brides can learn a lesson from this: If you are having problems with other people in the bridal party or family members, be adults and work it out yourselves. Crying to the bride that someone is pissing you off gets nothing accomplished and only makes the bride upset--and the whole point is to support the bride and make her happy!!!!!

I agree with everyone else. Let them work it out. This is a party for you, thrown by other people. And tell them not to stress you out.

I totally agree. Now that your mom and sister are footing the bill, I would just invite her and FH's side of the family as guests. I'd ask my sister to politely inform her via group email, that the $$$ is taken care of of. And invites will be sent, etc etc.

Sometimes, some people like to cause un-needed drama. Don't let her ruin your shower or your wedding day! Let your sister and other BM's handle it.

Let them work it out. There was some drama between some of my sisters and who is paying for what and one of them called to tell me that the other said this and that and I said leave me out of it! Even my mother called the both of them and said to leave me out of it - we as brides deal with so much we dont need to deal with that too!

I totally agree!!! Sorry you have to deal with this and I know that your sister meant well but she shouldn't have told you so you wouldn't be stressing about it and feel like you should have to DO something about it.

I think it will blow over and everything will be fine in the end and on your wedding day!

Yup, stay out of it. It sounds like your sister is handling it fine.
