This morning I noticed Jeter's eye was had a lot of puss under it. He usually has a little tear in each eye when he wakes up but this was a lot. I carefully wiped it out of his eye. This afternoon when I got home, it was even worse! There was a big chunk of dried up puss and he cried when I tried to wipe it. Being the neurotic dog mom I am, I called the vet immediately and they said come right away.
I got there and they examined him and did a test on him and he scratched his eye! As soon as the doctor said maybe he could have done it on a bush I felt horrible! Monday we took him to the beach for the first time and we had to walk through a narrow path that had shrubs on both sides! He must have scratched it then!
So now my little baby looks like a Cone Head and I'm sooooooo sad. He's totally fine with it, running around and bumping into everything. He seems to be in no pain at all but I feel horrible. Tell me I'm not that bad of a dog mom.
OH dont feel bad about it. These things happen. He will feel better soon! Your a great mommy, you took him to the vet right away

If you were a bad dog mommy .... you would not have taken your baby to the drs.......... so you ARE a good dog mommy !!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww poor pup, youre not a bad mommy, you did take him to the vet to get it taken care of....that makes you a good dog mom.

You are SOOOO not a bad dog mom, you did the right thing in taking him to the vet right away and because you did that he's going to be just fine, yay for you and Jeter, hope he's running around...without the cone....very soon!!!!!

Awww poor Jeter! Glad he is okay though. You are not a bad doggy mom, you took him to the vet!!!

Don't worry! You didn't take him there to get hurt! I actually think he looks really cute in that picture, usually I think the cone makes dogs look silly. Maybe it is because he is such a cute dog... Anyway, don't be silly. You are a great dog mom. I know some dogs that have never left their home except for their backyard!

Ang you are not a bad dog mom!!!! Do you know how may times we saw the vet Rosco's first year. He will be fine and you atleast took him to the vet when you saw it got worse. Ant laughs at me when I call the vet for the littlest thing but, I say they cant talk to us so we have to think for them. You are such a good mommy, he's got lots of toys, that nice comfy bed to sleep on and you are always doing something with him. By the way I just want to eat him up in that pic.

Thanks! His jowls are starting to grow in and I think it makes him look pouty in that picture.

Awww - your not a bad doggy mommy - but I think he would probably love alot of belly rubs and some extra treats just to make sure he feels good - Nothing wrong with giving him some extra extra love to make him feel better
