I went to a Kosher deli and order pastrami on rye with butter. When they told me no, I asked for a reuben with swiss cheese. They told me no.

No alarm bells went off in my head when I asked for butter. There should be a trap door in my mouth to prevent me from saying more stupid things.

actually it's because the bible says don't cook the calf in it's mothers milk. But don't think I'm a jewish genius, I had to ask my mom!

That actually makes sense, I never heard that until now. So that's why it's not mixed...verrry interesting!

We have a kosher home and have 1 fridge, just different shelves. It might seem like a pain but the two sets of dishes came in handy when FH and I both liked different patterns when registering!

LOL!!! I asked for pastrami and swiss on rye at Ben's Kosher Deli a few months ago so I totally know how dopey you feel!! And I totally agreee that butter is sooo good on sandwiches!!

bagel boss just opened in my town.. I LOVE IT!!! luckily it has the same people as before so they still make my favorite.. bagel holes..amazinggg.. its like im still 5 years old!!
im used to kosher though.. my entire town is practically kosher.. no cheese burgers in hewlett!!!
