I'm a little confused

Original post by CaCRmr

When you play the Father/Daughter dance....

Is this a song that YOU like or one YOUR father likes?

What I mean is that I have a song that I like for the both of us but my father probably has never heard the song before. Do you think I should do a song that he would like (ie Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka) or something more modern that I like.

Hmmm....am I too confusing?
Please help!

Re: I'm a little confused

I picked out a bunch od songs and listened to them with my dad and we narrowed it down from there. We ended up going with My Daughter is A Bride by Ray Allaire!!

I don't think my dad even cares what song we dance to, but from the looks of it, I should definately ask his opinion. I never realized how many people included their fathers in the process

Re: I'm a little confused

i gave my dad a few choices to choose from and said if he has any suggestions

we wanted to pick a song that is quick enough to dance to. (my mom dad and myself have all taken dance lessons - so we want to use them.) we chose, 'isnt she lovely'

Re: I'm a little confused

Without me ever asking him, my dad mentioned to me one day that he would like to have 'Butterfly Kisses' as our song...because every night before I went to bed when I lived at home, I would go in and give him a kiss goodnight....so it was special for him.
So that's the song we had
