I'm a little disappointed...

I'm a little disappointed...

It wasn't in our budget to have an evening wedding. FH and I booked our wedding for the afternoon and the RH told us that, if no one else booked the evening by the end of December, we could push our wedding off to a twilight. At first, I kept my hopes wayyy down because I thought, 'there's no chance this will happen.' I ordered my invitations the other day and my mother called the RH just to see if anyone had booked (she has been calling every month and each month we became a little more hopeful that this would actually happen). Lo and behold, someone booked between this month and last. I know I have no right to be upset because it was never promised to us, but it would have been nice. I know it's still going to be an amazing day but I'm a little disappointed.

Awwww! I dont blame you for being disappointed. I always wanted to have a night weding but we just couldnt afford to have it at our dream place and have an evening wedding so we are having a sunday afternoon wedding. Dont worry....our weddings will be amazing no matter what time of day they are!!

I would have done the same thing....I would have tried to keep my hopes down but secretly I would have wanted no one to book that day.

I know it kinda stinks, but an afternoon wedding will be amazing! FH and I originally wanted a Saturday afternoon wedding, but we couldn't get married in my church on a Saturday morning because they have a mass there early and our RH told us our cocktail hour would have to start at 12.

You will have an amazing day and just think, you can do an after party!

Thanks girls! I knew you would understand! I know the wedding will still be incredible! I told FH that I was a little disappointed (I'm not over here crying or anything, it's not that serious lol) and he practically yelled at me saying that I should have never gotten my hopes up.

My mother was also really disappointed. I think she expected it more than I did. A few months ago, she offered to pay the difference to move the wedding back a few hours and she left a message at the RH to see how much that would cost. She told me she did so and I told her she was crazy and that I don't want her to waste that money. I told her that if it were meant to be, it would happen. Of course, we're both upset but we knew it was a possibility that we wouldn't get the option.

i understand .. we originally wanted an evening wedding but because of money we had to have an afternoon wedding too. i understand butttt just think you are still getting to marry FH and it is still going to be perfect!

i really wanted a night wedding too but picked the place we couldnt afford it at. I figure im paying for the place i guess its worth it to see it the whole time :) so a morning/ day wedding it is.. and fabulous it will be!
