It's not that big of a deal but I have my first dress fitting today and no one is coming with me. It feels like the type of thing I should be doing with someone special. But I bought my dress in the Philly area and my family and bridal party all live in NY. I didn't even tell anyone about the fitting because I didn't want to drag my mom or any of my girls out of their way on Valentine's Day.
I'm sure I'll be thrilled the second I step into the dress. Thanks for reading!

You will have a great time. Maybe if you told your mom, she would want to come. But if you don't tell her, it won't be bad to do it alone. People are always giving opinions and you have an opportunity to decide everything today completely on your own. Thats a rare opportunity! take pics!

awww Bonnie I'm sorry, there will be more oppurtunities though.....make sure you have the seamstress take pics so we can oooooh and ahhhh at you!!!! happy v-day hon =)

Aww bonnie....im sorry. I totally understand why you feel a bit down. You were so sweet and considerate to not tell people so they didnt feel obligated but i bet your mom and bms would have LOVED to come! Dont ever feel like a bother with this wedding stuff! I m sure you will be so happy once you get into that gown...can't wait to hear how it went!

that's ok, and i understand how you feel! i'll probably be going to my first fitting solo also!!! i work in bklyn and got my dress in manhattan so it's easy for me to just go after work when it's ready... i'm not going to have my mom (who doesn't know her way around nyc) come in alone!
