I'm a little sad (kind of long)

I had planned to have both of my parents walk me down the aisle. They both raised me & I love them both & I wanted to have them both make that walk with me. Well, my mom has MS & we knew it would be tough fo her to walk down the 80ft aisle as it was, but last week, she broke her pelvis. She will most likely need a wheelchair for a few weeks & to make things easier on her, she'll probably have one at my wedding.

She called me from the hospital a few days ago & I could tell she was getting choked up & then she came out and said, 'You realize I may not be able to walk down the aisle with you now, right? I think it would be too hard for the 3 of us to fit down together with me wheeling myself & I would just feel uncomfortable doing that to you.' I know she's right & I told her not to cry because I had a great idea. My mother is going to be sitting in the first pew & when my father & I get there, she will get up & join us & hopefully be able to walk the last few feet to the alter with me & my dad. She really liked that idea too.

I just realized today though that now I will not have my mother with me in those last few minutes outside the church before I go down the aisle & that is making me so sad.

Omg...I am so sorry...but those moments when you get down the aisle and meet your mother will be so precious!

Don't be sad, she will still be there. .. even if she doesn't get to walk you down the aisle. You are very lucky to have both your parents there, there are alot of brides, including myself that aren't that lucky, my mom passed away a couple of years ago, and my father was an abusive alcoholic..so neither of them will be at my ceremony. So, try to cheer up, and just realize how lucky you are that they will both be there with you on your special day, that's what should matter most. Be Happy about that sweetie!!!!

You are absolutely right. I was just telling my mom the other day that we are incredibly lucky that she's able to be there at all even if it is in a wheel chair.

I'm so sorry about your parents
