I'm about to have my first true Bridezilla moment!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm about to have my first true Bridezilla moment!!!!!!!!!!!

My RH is doing construction RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FREAKING HALL!!!! You drive down the road where the hall is, and literally there is major construction and detours in front of the entire hall.

When I was there in March, they said it would be done by May 1. Then last month I saw it wasn't done, so I asked them again and they said they would follow up with me with an update. Never heard from them. So I email them to ask them today, and the woman responds: 'The construction outside should be done by September!!!!!'

SEPTEMBER?!?!?! ***? I am getting married in 25 days!! September is not a good thing, so you can take all five of those exclamation points and shove them you know where! I'm not spending $40K so I can have my wedding at a construction site!!!!

I'd be upset too, obviously there is probably not much they can do to finish it faster but I would go down there and get them to either lower the pp price , or throw in ALOT of extras!

On the positive side think of all the cool pictures you can take on a bobcat.

That really does suck, I would have to call and speak to whoever I can to get something done. The least they can do is a lower pp.

that is annoying but on the flip side, did you plan to take pics in the front of your RH? (like are there gardens there or something)?
Even though it wont be visually appealing when you walk in, they shouldnt be doing construction at night or during the weekend so you wont hear noise or anything.
if it is that much of an eyesore though maybe talk to them and see if they can 'throw in' some things that you want....

We were planning to take photos in the courtyard in front. Also, the hall is really beautiful in front when you drive up, but now you can't see anything because it is all blocked by construction vehicles, huge traffic cones, and signs diverting all the traffic onto a temporary roadway that loops people around so they can't see the hall at all.

I'm more annoying about the service than anything. It's totally unacceptable that they lied about when it would be done, then avoided answering the question, and then when they told me Sept, they acted as if that was a good thing. I followed up to tell them how upset I am, and now of course I am getting no response.

U never know maybe they fix it for ur wedding... Maybe they cover things for ur wedding...

i would talk to them and find out if they can minimize the effects of it at all

also, check your contract to see if it allows for construction accommodations - sometimes contracts say things like 'in the event we have construction going on, we'll find a suitable replacement' or something like that

ugh so sorry

most halls do construction all year long but when the people get there, the vehicles are gone

that is insane and so unfair

i would be livid and rightfully so..what can they do for you??? they need to do something, lower price, add tons of upgrades, etc
