in the lastest issue of Cosmo it states:

'The typical woman tosses out thousands of tampons and pads in her lifetime, adding pounds of paper and plasstic that contains harmful dyes and synthetic fibers to landfills. To cut back on contributing to this problem, consider switching to reusable pads designed to be tossed into the washing maching after each use .


I'm sorry but that is just nasty. I'm picturing woman throwing them into their laundry hampers and bringing them to laundry mats or even in their reg washing machines with all their other clothes.

this makes me want to barf

ehhhhhhh.... maybe you rinse them first? but that doesn't really make it any better I don't think...I have heard of people using cloth diapers, I guess it's along the same lines as that?
