I'm at work so early today!!

I'm at work so early today!!

HALF of the power went out in our apartment last night! Of course what went out powered the A/C and the refrigerator. So we got no sleep and lost all our food. BUT we could watch TV, isn't that nice?
I came to the office early because it was so hot in the apartment I would rather be here where at least it is cool.
I am going to buy an extension cord today so if the power is still out when I get home at least we can find a working outlet to run the A/C off of.
The neighborhood was so freaky last night- I went out around 8:00 and the lights were going on off and getting dimmer and dimmer until everything went off!! We lost everythng for about 20minutes, and then half of it came back on

AAWWW Lauren!!!!!!!! You and Travis are welcome to come to our place if you have no A/C - Bob will be at Jones Beach tonight, so I have the place to myself!!!!!!!!!!

If only it wouldn't be such a long commute... ~sigh~

where in queens are you that you lost power? i'm on the border of rego park and forest hills and everything was fine by me

Astoria...apparently there was some kind of fire at ConEd and they were asking everyone in the area to conserve electricity - not use A/C- which of course no one listened to, so there were power outages. I really hope its back on when I go home!

OMG thats horrible, I hope its working properly by the time you get home.
