I'm Bacckk - We survived an earthquake on our HM!

So first of all i must apologize - with everything so hectic around teh wedding and leaving for the HM it totally slipped my mind to pick a new BOTW - i am very sorry!!

Our wedding day was better than we could have ever imagined - Russo's blew our mind!!! The only problem we had was the preist - thats a whole story in itself but everything else was exquisite - all our vendors were top notch - review to follow

our HM was amazing we stayed at the St Lucia Grande Sandals - everyting was great excpet that on Thursday we had just gotten back from the rainforest zipcord canopy tour and went to our room to change - well i was laying on teh bed and all of a sudden there was this shaking - i was like Sean!! Stop doing that - so he looked at me with this scared look and said oh my god thats not me its an earthquake and with that stuff really started shaking - drawers flew open, stuff was falling on teh floor - we ran into teh door frame of the bathroom and waited it out - the building was actually shaking like to and fro - it felt like we were standing on a bowl of jello - i really thought the ceiling was coming down. anyway what seemed like 10 minutes was only 45 seconds and it measured 7.4!!! there was only minor damage to the hotel but even the native ppl were scared saying they have had little shakes b4 but NOTHING like that!!! it was teh biggest quake in St LUcia since the 1940s!
other than that everything was fabulous!

So wonderful to hear you had a great wedding-Congrats!!

But, OMG, I would have freaked out if the earthquake happened to us!! Wow.

OMG... i cant believe there was an earthquake...so happy to hear everything is ok.. and you 2 are both safe!!

Congrats !

Heard about the earthquake from soontobemrst (Andrea & Chris) who were there the same time as you. They were on a catamaran at the time. Was felt on a lot of the islands there, but thankfully no tsunami.

Your pics came out great. Can't wait to see more.

WOW!!!!! I remember hearing about that earthquake! That had to of been so scary for you guys. Glad you made it through okay. Thats quite the honeymoon story to take home with you!!

By the way....you looked so beautiful on your wedding day!
