hello ladies, i'm back. If you don't remember I was supposed to get married in december of 07, but i didn't because in aug. 07 i found out i was 5 1/2 months preggo. we postponed everything. i had my beautiful baby girl on dec. 12, 2007. Our new wedding plans are set for April 5, 2008. We will baptize that same day!! I just need some advice/help/tips from you gals. I tried on my wedding dress 1 week 1/2 after i had my baby, and it only zipped up 1/2 way!!!!!!!! aaahhhh!!! i am freaked. i didn't gain sooo much weight, and since i'm brestfeeding i cant really diet sooo much. please if u know of a diet for breastfeeding moms let me know!!!! thank you so much!!!!
Congrats to you! Your baby girl is a beauty- best wishes to you. Not certain about a diet but Weght Watchers may have a eating plan for breast feeding mothers. Good Luck and feel free to come to the 08 boards!

Congratulations - what a cutie pie !
About your dress - can the shop put a corset back on it ? They are a bit more forgiving than the zipper/button backs. Another option would be to put side panels in, if the design allows for it. Can't really tell by the pics in your album.

Congratulations on your daughter, she's beautiful!! I can't believe your dress fit at all only 1 week after having your baby!!!! You don't need to go on a diet, if you keep nursing you wil be absolutely fine! I gained 60 lbs w/ my son and lost it all by breastfeeding. It burns a ton of calories!! Good Luck!!

I wouldnt sweat too much about your dress, you do have time to lose some weight. I would wait until about a 1 1/2 month prior to your wedding and then start alterations. the dress should be able to be taken out even if its just a little bit. they took my dress out at the largest point 2 inches.

awww congrats to you both on your new little bundle of joy!
Maybe try not to eat as much meat? I know for myself I lose weight when I dont eat meat. You will get more than enough protein if you eat veggies, and nuts. That sort of thing Good Luck with the rest of your planning!

I highly recommend Weight Watchers. They specifically ask if you are nursing and let you know what you should be doing differently than if you just followed it the regular way. I don't know what they tell you to do that is different, but what I like about WW is that it makes sure you get a good, balanced diet with everything that you need. I have never had so much energy and the weight and inches come off when you follow it. Good luck!

Welcome back and congratulations!!!! Your daughter is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Speak to Carolinebr - she had her baby early in 07 and lost her baby weight in something like 3 months! She looked great on her wedding day! You can do it too!

First of all, congratulations! She's beautiful!
Second, I breastfed my daughter, and I can tell you that the weight comes off pretty quickly. I went back to just about my pre-pregnancy weight (not quite the same shape though ) in about 8 weeks. Also, weight watchers has an excellent diet for breastfeeding mothers. Definately look into it because I loved it & it really helped me drop the baby weight. You definately have time to get back into your gown, but in case you can't, maybe a seamstress can turn the back into a corset for you. That should help.

I agree Weight Watchers will have a plan that will be good for you while you are breast feeding. Your new little girl is beautiful!!!! My older son's birthday is also December 12th......your baby will have a wonderful personality. Congrats again and definitely do weight watchers.
