I'm back and I'm officially Mrs.charliesgirl

Original post by charliesgirl

Today is my first day back at work after being off for 2 1/2 weeks. My wedding was 3/29/03

The weather held out for most of the day. It was windy and cool but the sun did come out for a while.

Salon DeJa Vue(Hair) A+. I went to the salon where I get my hair cut and colored so I knew that wouldn't have any problems here. I put my hair half up and it stayed all day even with the windy weather on that day.

Lisette for make-up A+. She did a beautiful job.She kept the look natural and really brought out my eyes. She did my mom's make-up also and my mother was really happy with it too. My make-up lasted all day. I only had to reapply the lipstick once that day.

Designer Limousines. A. We had 2 white 10 passenger Lincolns. They both were clean and the bar was well stocked. Both drivers were very nice and on-time.

Carousel Studios (Photography) A+++. Even though I haven't seen the pictures, Jim , my photographer was a doll. He was such a pleasure to work with. He made everyone feel comfortable and happy to take pictures.

Bellarino Productions(Video) A+. Phil and Kate were awesome. I didn't even notice them atthe reception or at the church. Also I haven't seen the video yet but I really enjoyed working with them.

Milleridge Florist A. Chris and Lisa at the Milleridge Florist were so great to work with. I had an idea in my head about flowers and they did exactly what I was thinking. Everyone loved the centerpieces and the 2 church baskets. My bouquet was beautiful even though it only lasted for a day after the wedding. The flower girl baskets were adorable and the bridesmaids bouquets were also great. The one thing I was a little concerned about was I had 18 tables but ordered 20 centerpieces. I asked for the 2 additional centerpieces to be put on the mantle so I could give them to my 2 grandmothers but they were put out in the lobby and of course people took them somy grandmothers ended up with nothing. But I din't realize this until it was too late.

Milleridge Cottage. A+++++ What can I say that hasn't been said before. I had never been to a wedding there so I didn't know what to expect. Steve and Julie, our matre'd and bridal attendant were awesome. Steve made sure our guest were taken care of and Julie made sure me and my husband were taken care of. People loved the cocktail hour and Vienese hour. Most of our guest ordered the surf & turf and loved it. I made a point to sit down and eat my lobster and it was delicious.

Amsale (My dress) A- Beautiful dresss when I brought it home but by the end of the night the whole bottom was filthy and I tore one of the layers of tuelle. Also the top of my dress had a sheer silk overlay and there is a hole under my arm.

Honeymoon - Cruise on RC's Voyager of the Sea
We had a great time even though it was cloudy and rainy for 3 out of the 7 days. We even had to skip an island b/c of the bad weather. But my husband and I made the best of it. We loved the casino and the pools (especially the pool bars). We din't really like our stop in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. If you go there just do the Dunn's River Falls tour and get back on the ship. Grand Cayman & Cozumel were absoultely beautiful. Go to Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman and Mr. Sancho's Beach Club in Cozumel.

So there is my review. The day was certainly a whirlwind. I tried my best to soak it all in. I am glad that all the planning is over and now I can enjoy some quality time with my new husband and our new life.

Fh went to Sting ray Encounter and loved it, I was jewelery shopping- cannot beat those prices in Grand Cayman. Sounds like your day was beautiful!

I forgot one more thing. The band.
We used ERA2000. I give them an A.
My husband's family is Italian so we needed a band that could play really good Italian music. And they did. The piano player played at our cocktail hour and it really set the mood. The band played our first dance song (They Way You Look Tonight) awesome. in the beginning they played a little too much Italian songs but my husband pulled the MC a side and asked him to play other music and that's exactly what they did. They played a bunch of 103.5 songs and that really got the party started. And one thing that I have to say is that there was always live music playing. If any one needs a band let me know I would be happy to recommend them.
