I'm back and MARRIED but missed most of my reception...

Yes that's right girls.......I spent most of my reception in the bridal suite THROWING UP. I would go upstairs, dance for a song, talk to who I could, before needing to go down stairs to get sick. The last two hours I couldn't make it back up to the reception. From vomiting I ended up popping the buttons and zipper on my dress and everything had to be pinned. I started to feel sick on the limo ride to reception hall and got sick on the bus......the night went down hill from there. I practically had to be carried out of the hall at the end of the night.

Now it's hitting me that I missed my OWN WEDDING.......but that day I was so happy to be married to my hubby and that the ceremony was beautiful, that I took it all with stride. I was in good spirits despite puking...........but the more I tell my story, the more upset I get.

I know I wasn't huge poster, and I slowed after I bought my house.......but I don't know what to think right now.......

congrats! you relly did look good though even though you were sick.

sadly i can say 'I know exactly how you feel' cause on my day I had food poisoning and was throwing up too. I could barely stand during my reception from being so weak... my knees were shaking under me while trying to put on a smile and dance.

Awww I'm so sorry you were sick! You are better than me...you tried to make the best of it...I would've made everyone around miserable.

You were a stunning bride and you cannot even tell you were sick.

Congratulations! And i'm glad you didn't have to cancel your HM.

It's tough to come to terms with your dream plans not unfolding into your dream day. I had to go through it too as I was hospitalized on the Wednesday before my wedding and they told me I wasn't getting out in time. I made it to mine, but like you, I didn't feel well, couldn't eat, and was pumped up on so many antibiotics and antinauseau pills. We cancelled our honeymoon as a result. In the end I realized that the point of the wedding was to be married and to share that experience with friends and family. It was a really hard lesson to swallow. But I loved my entire day. I joke with DH that we just have to do a 5 year vow renewal instead of a 25 year!!!
From your post it seems like you had all the components of your beautiful wedding dream, but in a shorter duration than you anticipated. You had the ceremony, a few dances, a few chats with guests, a tiring night, and a rockin' honeymoon. Sounds pretty typical when you break it down to the raw parts. (don't worry about leaving out the vomiting and popping your dress....those are just silly details) Try to be happy about it. It's definitely a great story to tell the kiddies....especially cause you looked so radiant! Congrats on your wedding. Enjoy all the beautiful memories of your day.

Well first off, you looked beautiful. Second, I am sooo sorry that you got sick at the reception. What was it? Look at the bright side, you weren't like that the entire day and you were fine for what really is the most important part of the wedding day, the ceremony

I am so sorry that you got sick, your pictures look beautiful! Did you find out why you got sick? Food poisoning? Nerves?

I am so sorry to hear that you were sick and I am sure that was heartbreaking, but you looked absolutely beautiful! I am sure with time the memories of being sick will fade and the happy, special ones will be the ones you think of.

Congrats on your house too.
