Soooo...I have been slacking the past couple of days...so I owe ya!!! Here is a nice long post of some bargains and tips from my book....
Invitations:
As you might have learned.....invitation prices can be ridiculous. To save money...of course you can DYI....but if you are afraid of doing it yourself....there are some ways you can save:
1. Believe it or not....some churches/synagogues offer invitations at a discounted price for fundraisers!!
2. Mail order catalogs are not as personal as meeting with someone...but you can save up to 40 % off the same exact invitations you would find in retail stores!!!!
3. Choose thermographed invitations instead of engraved.
4. If you want to do engraved...don't use big name companies.....a bride used reaves engraving and saved $900 on invites!!! Check it out

5. Warehouses such as Costco sell brand name invitations for 10-30% off!!
Always order more invites than you need!!! Sounds silly....but if you need to order 10 or 25 more because you changed your mind about inviting some people or some invites were lost in the mail.....it will cost you significantly more to order that small amount than had you ordered it in the first place! Most places will charge you the same 'ink prepping' fee they charged for your original order!!!
