I'm bummed today

I have my CT scan tomorrow and PT scan Friday. I won't get the results till 2/7.

I've tried not to think about it since my last chemo treatment. As FH says, 'Worrying isn't going to make you better.'

But now that test time is actually here, I've got all the 'What if's' floating around.

And NOTHING is keeping my attention today so I can't even get my mind off of it!

have you ever read the book 'The Secret'? Try to keep postive thoughts! I know its easier said then done, but I will keep positive thoughts for you too!!

I'm sorry your feeling down. I can see how it would be hard not to be. But try and stay positive. Positive thoughts will bring positive things. I'll be prayin for you and thinkin pleanty of positive thoughts for you!

Hey, I know that this may sound insane... but it worked for me...
As a teacher I have to test the games before I let the kids use them..

And last year during all my drama and tests and doctors, I got hooked on the disney site and started playing clubpenguin, and on aol, dinerdash. Just getting stuck on the games ESP diner dash, it kept my mind from thinking...

I read The Secret when I first got sick...90% of the tumor gone after 3 chemo treatments so I think there's something to it!

Seriously though, my oncologist hasn't really seemed too concerned about me. He said from the beginning that I'll have two things to celebrate at my wedding and his office holds a party every spring for their patients who are cancer survivors and even before I started treatment he said, 'When you come to our party next year, you'll be one of the newbies -- a 6- month survivor!'

But STILL...

Maybe it's just the anticipation that's worse than anything else!

i know what you mean... my grandman had cancer 6 different ways it seems before they got her good again... you should be ecstatic that the doc is in such good spirits!!!

My neighbor is an oncology nurse and when I told her that my doc told me from the beginning that I was going to be fine, she said they won't say that if they don't mean it.

I think I need to go for an ice cream run tonight!

hahah I agree with your neighbor... there is so much technology and good medicine that this is becoming as routine as getting yoru tonsils out...

and for me its slurpees.....

I do think ice cream will help! It probably isn't so much test but the anticipation and knowing you have to wait that long for the results. The Dr's convinced you'll be ok and so are us LIW girls, now you just need to believe it too.

I agree, thinking positively can make a huge difference...I hope everything goes well, don't worry too much!

Try not to think of all the negative 'what ifs,' as hard as that may be. Think of everything you've gotten through so far, and of how strong you are, and how you have so many people praying for you and having faith that everything will be better soon. Cancer is your past and there is so much in your future! We're here for you, don't forget that!
