Why is it neccessary to book a florist so far in advance? Call me dumb but I thought I could wait until closer to the wedding and just book a package. I figured they are not doing anything but putting together some flowers. But Im wrong I see.

Re: Im confused
Some florists only book a few weddings a day because most of them must travel to the church, your house, and then the reception hall

I think that it depends on who you use. I am using my local florist in my town. I am booking in Sept 06 for April 07. I know that some of the LIW vendors are booked up so if you want to use them, it's best to get an early start.

I'm using a popular wedding florist and they only do one wedding a day so I wan't to make sure it was mine so I booked them very far in advance.

Re: Im confused
i guess you would have to check in with your florist... some may suggest to come back a few months before the wedding while others dont mind you coming in now.... I just wanted to get everything over with

I booked mine because he is very popular amongst brides and I wanted to make sure I had him for my wedding!
