I'm confused...shower question

FH just called me to day that his aunts received my shower invitation and had no idea who I am (doesn't surprise me but that's a different story). My shower is a surprise so I can't ask my mom, but on the invites is it supposed to say 'Jennifer Lastname , fiance of Tom Lastname'.?

FH thinks my mom should have written something like that, bc of course his family knows my first name but not my last, and some of them I have not even met yet...

Are they not from around here? Some of my FH's family doesn't know me, but that's because they live in Florida and we've never met.

That's a new one to me!

Are you registered? Usually the couples full names are filled-in on the store(s) cards that are normally inserted with the Shower invites. I can see how some people get confused - - but common sense should lead them to who it is. Your FH should ask your mom how it was done and ask for the list so he or his mother can call anyone who might be confused. It really it's a big deal for him to start stressing over.

Well. sorry my FILs aren't as perfect as other peoples but they have issues....FH family isn't very close and I really haven't met many of them. Yes I am registered and the reg cards were in the invites but just said 'Jen and Tom'.

It doesn't feel too good to not have people even know who you are!

It's all good... I am not criticizing, just trying to show the lighter side of it!

BTW, when we sent our our wedding anouncements we had some members of our family not know who we were either. As far as I'm concerned it made it really easy to shrink down our guest list!

My FILs are far from perfect, as are my own!
