I dont understand why so many people are saying no to our wedding. My shower is today and I'm just in a depressed mood. We have 68 yes (including bp and parents) and only 16 no, but I'm expecting at least 10 more no's soon and all of the others (about 80) im ify on. I dont think alot will come. I really hate FMIL for making me invite all these ppl that are saying no and she didnt contribute to anything. I dont even know if ill make my 110 minimum. I don't get it

well you probably have a little bit longer to your rsvp date... a lot of people just wait until the last minute.. or don't even respond at all... and you will have to call them. I'm sure you will get more yes' soon!

I was the same way at the midway point to my RSVP date and was like I am not going to make 100. I think i was at 50 or something. I was panicking but they all came in a week before and now I have 96 out of 155 we invited which isnt bad. I knew alot werent coming but I invited them as a courtesy because I have a huge family on my side. As the previous poster stated you are probably a few weeks away from your RSVP date but give it til then alot of people are late senders. I found that one out. So don't fret it should come out alright in the end.

No worries!!! People will start to respond... do you have a 'B' list? If you do, start sending them out. You probably have a RSVP date of late Sept... and if not - there's still enough time for people to respond from B list... and don't worry about what they're going to think - they will be happy to attend even if they got the invitation late... chin up!!! Hi - sorry crashing ur board ... thought I'd put in my 2 cents as well ...
went through the same exact feeling last week -- our e-party was on Saturday -- people were just not responding and confirming so I started to question if those that I invited are my friends or what -- or if I have any REAL friends!?!?
but guess what? they did show up - we ended up having a lot of people that we had to get more food for the party!
People r just bums that way ... if it's not about them, or if there's nothing in it for them, they're just not that interested and they make excuses -- at least this is what I told myself to make myself feel better -- but I really truly appreciated those who showed up ...

That happened to us but then it has picked up on more yes'es. It's a little early so wait just a little longer and you will be surprised on the RSVP's. Here are some hugs.
