I'M ENGAGED!!!

Well I think I've been the only person posting to the boards without actually being engaged, but that all changed yesterday. Clay totally took me by surprise when he proposed to me at the Spy Museum here in Washington, D.C. I was so overcome with emotion that I could barely move let alone speak. The way he did it was really cool too - right before we left the museum, they had one of those scrolling marquis signs, like you see in Times Square that reports world events (except the one in the museum was much smaller!) There was a message posted on it and he's like 'hey look, what does that say?' Then I started reading it as it scrolled across..

He turned me around, and behind me in a display case set up to look like a museum exhibit was my ring! Then he got down on one knee in front of a crowd of people and asked me to marry him. I tearfully said yes!

So now I'm officially a LIW bride-to-be!!!

Ha ha! I would've posted this message last night but I think I was way too incoherent from the champagne and wine! Yes I got a hold of my parents - they were very excited. Clay's grandma was the funniest though - she screamed when Clay told her the news and he had to hold the phone away from his ear! Then she got on the phone with me and started crying, and then I started crying..... it was a great evening.....
