We are hoping for an early Fall wedding. Sometime mid Sept. 07. I would prefer a day wedding, and not too far out east.
I'd really love something on the water or something a golf course, but I'm open to anything. There's so much to choose from.
We will probably have around 250 ppl, and I'm definitely not looking to spend over $175 a plate.

Well, the church is in Merrick, so probably nothing more than a half hour. Don't want to make the guests travel too far.

Congrats! Yay! Some suggestions: Bridgeview, Riviera, Crescent Beach Club, Harbor Club, Venetian Yacht Club, Chateau La Mer. Carlysle is awesome...but just as an FYI...they quoted me at $195/head on a Sunday night in November, so be prepared! Good luck and have fun with it!

Hi Martina!
Set a price range and narrow down where you would like to look from there. Also decide what kind of atmosphere you would like. Search the places on line, look at the rooms, if you know there are certain aspect you don't like right off the bat from looking at it on line, don't go. For example, I knew there was a certain characteristic I did not want in my room, so I did not go to the places that had it from looking on line. But do look at a lot of different places! there are a lot of halls with their website attached under vendors on this site. There is also a magazine that is very helpful which lists out many halls on LI and the 'Specs' so to speak - price range, style, # of ppl rooms hold, how many rooms, how many affairs, etc. Most importantly, try not to stress! And make sure to negotiate like there is no tomorrow!!! Ask us anything! and HAVE FUN!!
