OK I'll admit I've been procrastinating the dress shopping part. I hate shopping that's why. Anyway I made my first appointment to try on dresses and I'll be going with my mom. Oh yeah, the only thing I like least than shopping.... shopping with my mother... But hopefully we will have fun because it's supposed to be right?

oh its so much fun. i admit it can be frustrating at times, but when u find 'the one' all the frustration will be worth it in the end! good luck!

I'll probably check out there and Bridal Elegance too. Just to get a feel of a few places and different styles.
I have just over a year, I don't know if I should be taking my time anymore though.. I hear so many different things about how long it takes some dresses to arrive.

I want to go with my mom because we don't do so much together anymore. We used to spend so much time together when I was young.

i got my dress there are you going on a weekday or weekend. if its a week day ask for barbara to help you. she was soo great not pushy and not make you feel rushed . she kept bringing me out sdresses. by the time she was done helping me she had brought me 10 dresses already . shes wonderful absolutly wonderful!

Bridal Suite in Centereach is a really great place to start!! Thats where I'm getting my dress..they have a lot to choose from and everyone in there was so nice. I spent about 3hrs there.
Don't worry, as frustrated as it may get..its so worth it in the end!

Don't get frustrated if you don't find THE ONE.....just keep on trying on different styles so you can see what you feel and look best in.

No my avatar pic is from my friend's wedding at the Thatched Cottage. CuriousGeorge, she was a '08 bride but then planned her wedding in a few months instead. I would post pics but I can't find my adaptor thing to connect my camera to my comp.
