So I realized that I was being stupid by letting one or two people keep me from posting pictures of my ring. I love my ring, it's exactly what i wanted, and i didnt give FH any hints or tips at all. He picked it out all by himself, with no help from ANYONE. I think he did pretty darn good and I don't want anyone to think I'm ashamed of, or embarassed by it. Mimacat, can you tell which photos i took just for you?

The explanation was given because I'd had several conversations with people from this site about why I hadn't posted it. Not looking to cause drama, but there were a couple of members who'd made comments about the size of your ring being a direct reflection of how much your FH loves you. I have always loved my ring, but the thought of someone sitting here looking at it and then assuming that my FH didnt love me as much as theirs loves them really bothered me. I felt it was insulting to HIM.

Wow, someone really said that? If FH bought me a diamond chip and anyone said it was because he really didn't love me, I'd punch them! Noone can go by how 'big' a rock is....a half carat perfect rock beats a 4 carat imperfect rock anyday to me! Regardless of cut, carat, color or clarity...FH loved you enough to buy a ring that represented his lifelong promise to be with you. The size doesn't matter...it's the motion in the ocean! LMAO

I bet. I have lots of friends that didn't want anything big, some didn't want a ring at all. Really, it's a preference some people have. Just think, you can go all out and get an eternity band filled with diamonds if YOU'D like....for you, not for some schmuck!

Honestly, If it had been in real life and not online, I probably would have punched them. I told him that if ever decided to propose to save his money and get me a fake ring b/c i wouldnt be able to tell the differance, nor would i care.
