I orderdered my dress at the end of June. They said it would take 8 months to get. Well, it is going to be 10 months. After hearing some horror stories, I am nervous! Should I call? What do I say? I don't want to sound like a bridezilla!

You still have plenty of time before you wedding. I'd wait another month before I started freaking out on them. You may just want to give them a quick call to see if they have a ship date yet.

While you still have plenty of time, I would give them a call. It's been an additional 2 months since the date they said it would be in. A friendly call would not hurt.

I would call just to make sure they know the importance of the date you need it. Be polite but very firm.

When did they tell you that it would take 10 months? If that's the case then it should be ready in April. That's only a couple of days away. April 1st is this Sunday. I would call them to find out exactly what day it will be ready.

Thanks girls. I think I am just freaking out because I called them a couple months back (regarding the color of my dress) and they could not find my order. 20 minutes later they said it was there but stuck to another paper. But something (in my gut) made me think they forgot about it which is why I am freaking out!

You still have a little time, but I'd give them a call... especially if it's stressing you out and you need to deal with it.

i'm sure you'll be fine. not to freak you out...but i'm convinced that my brida shop kept telling me that my dress wasn't in yet, but i have a sneaking suspicion that it was! i had heard thru ther grapevine that sometimes they would get a dress in, and it would arrive and they would tell the bride it's not in, just to make sure that the bride didn't want to come and 'visit' with her dress....or try and get it altered somewhere else!
my dress came in two months 'late', and i called and called, and magically one afternoon i called and they were like 'Oh it JUST came in like yesterday'. I made an appointment immediately for a fitting. Ironically enough it wasn't until two weeks later that I got the card in the mail saying that my dress had JUST come in. (by that time i had already picked up my dress and took it elsewhere for alterations) i think that the date of 'notification' came up in their book and they didn't realize i had already gotten it

i would call. i think we have the same dress actually. they told me 6-8 for mine and i orderd it from burton's in Sept. i called once in the beginning of march and they said it wasn't in yet. i'm calling again in april (it will 7 months then). where did u order urs from?

I'd say just call and say do they know for certain how much longer, and relax as long as it is here by end of June your in the clear!

Don't freak out but you should definitely call.
I ordered my dress, they said they would call me in 3 months when it came in...so i called them 3 months later & found out they never placed the order. Luckily I had 6 more months until the wedding & enough time to fix the problem.

Just called, I was told 10 months w/ my dress as well and call just to see if it was in. It was in. You never know.
