Ok so we booked HWC a couple of months ago, did a food tasting and everything was great. My friends aunt went to one with her daughter, who is also getting married there and said everything was horrible!! What do I do, I'm freaking out! I know a lot can change in two years-do you think it was just a bad day! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

If you were happy DO NOT FREAK OUT! - theres that old saying 'to each thier own' - i love choclate - you may hate it - the most important thing is your happiness & how you felt about the food & place, do not let anyone else change your feelings,

I wouldn't worry as long as you tasted it and liked it. Some people have bland palettes. Maybe your co-worker is used to minimally seasoned food or doesn't like exotic/gourmet food. Who knows, she could be a 'chicken fingers and fries, hold the condiments' kinda girl. It will be fine. A friend of mine just went to a wedding there and said the food and everything was awesome!

don't worry ..i think things like that are personal opinion..i mean most likely at my wedding im sure there will be someone who doesn't like the food, or this or that..if you like it ..thats all that matters!

i went to a wedding there....the food was fine! If you are that freaked over it...maybe call and see if you can set up another tasting? Im sure it will be fine...everyone has diff tastes! Did she say what was bad???

A friend of mine has the complete opposite taste buds as I do lol She never likes the restaurants I like... and I never like the restaurants she likes... oh well what can ya do lol
Everyone has diff taste buds... You tasted the food and it was good, so you know first hand, you're not just going by someone's word that it was good

Don't freak out. When you and fh tasted the food you both loved it. Some people may not like the way it tastes but it's what you and fh want so that's what you should do. Don't worry...you will have a beautiful wedding!

The food and service at HWC are exceptional. There is nothing “horrible” about the food at HWC. There are so many awesome choices offered at HWC just pick out what you think your guest will like and don’t worry or look into what people who aren’t guests may think of your choices/options. HWC has so many good choices you can’t good wrong. Barbara is so helpful and will work with you. I’ll let you know how my guest thought of the food after my wedding.

Don't worry. I've been to the same place ( NOT the place you mentioned) for a wedding at least 5 times by now. The place has great food, beautiful views...and I have 2 more weddings there in this coming year.The last time I went...I had food poisoning. Did that change the way I thought about it? No. I probably just got unlucky and I was the only one. No matter how perfect the place...stuff happens.
Lots of things form someone's opinion about a place...and an experience is just that...a subjective thing.

you'll be fine, not the mention anything can change in 2 years as you said. i didn't like one of the stations that my hall offered, but you can't like everything you taste! we booked anyway and couldn't be happier!

Everyone has different tastes....if you liked it that's all that matters. Go for another testing if it will make you feel better.

I have heard GREAT reviews of the Hamlets...what is her mother like, perhaps she is a bit TOO picky? You know, the type that is never pleased. Honestly, I would not worry about it.

Never too late to pop up an older thread.
I got married at the Hamlet on 5/5/07.
It was gorgeous. The food that I was able to have was fantastic. My friends and my family all thought the food was incredible.
Check out the reviews by Naunie, Preshy7 and CJB... they were all HWC brides and had nothing but wonderful things to say. And you can now add me to that list!
