So some of you may have read my other posts abaout some surgery I went through. Well, it was a biopsy and the doc's office called earlier tonight and left a message on the machine to call back. I got home too late to talk to the doc and now I have to go all night and possibly most of the day tomorrow to wait to talk to him to find out if it's benign/malignant.
The chances that it is malignant are very slim so I shouldn't be freaking out, but I can't help it.
How do I get through this until I hear. I'm trying to talk myself down because I'm going to get myself sick.

The worst thing you can do is make yourself sick over it! And, I'm sure that if the results were bad, your doctor would have made it a point to speak to you immediately!
And, if it was bad, they would have told you to come back in, not just call them.
I'm sure you're fine!!!

just remind yourself that waiting until tomorrow will not change the outcome of the news......so there's little use in worrying.....that's what i do, at least

I can only imagine how scared you must feel. Please try not to stress yourself too much, though I know it will not be easy. I know if I were in your position I would be going nuts too but I would be trying to remind myself, that the chances of the results being malignant are slim.
Please try and relax hang out here with us until you get tired enough to fall asleep. I know this will seem like a long night to you but you will have your answers in the morning.

I know that there's nothing I can do until tomorrow and if I was a gambling woman I would put my money on benign. it's just that DH is working and I'm home alone and I just picked up the messages and it's too late to call most of my family and friends.

It's so hard to relax when you know you need to relax, your mind takes over.
When I am really anxious and my mind is racing, I have 1 glass of wine and it really does relax me.
Why not have a glass of your favorite wine?

Hang in there- try to calm yourself down- watch something ridiculous on tv
I had to wait for some tests to come back once and can totally relate- try to find something on comedy central or look for Jimmy Kimmel/ Dave/ Jay or Conan on regualr tv

serioulsly, ive waited for bad news too and i know how you felt- but how GOOD is it to get benign! i mean- thats great! dont you feel like celebrating! what a great way to start your weekend!!!!

I'm so glad it's good news!! The SAME thing happened to be yesterday-the DR's office called and i didn't get it until i got home so i had to wait till this afternoon--no big deal!!

let's just say this for the record! if it was to be cancer they would not leave you a message they would wait till they got you on the phone and even then not tell you till you got to the office(for anyone else who may go through this) i know that because i have had a a family member with a positive. but back to the post i am very happy for you that you were negitive!
