I'm freaking out-Updated

Re: I'm freaking out-Updated

In case this kind of thing ever happens again, I want to share a quick story to ease your mind.

My daughter had some routine blood work done a while back. The doctor called with the results but I was not home so they left a message to call them back. I freaked! The tests came back completely normal but they told me that they are not allowed by law to leave results on an answering machine.

I hope that will keep someone in a similar situation from panicking about it!

Re: I'm freaking out-Updated

Thanks to all of you for your support. I was just a wreck about having missed the call after waiting all week. Then today, I called the office and he was in surgery and couldn't call me back until 9 tonight. (What!!!!!???) Well he had a little break and picked up his messages and called me at work. I knew by 1pm and some of the girls and I went out for a nice lunch.

I still am at a higher risk but the biopsy was normal.

Happy it's over although now I get watched like a hawk for the rest of my life. Funny thing, DH was like a rock. He said 'So, you'll find out later, we'll deal with whatever it is together.'

so happy to hear everything is ok......but doesn't it make you so mad the way they call you and leave you hanging?

I had a similar experience, and my doctor called me on a friday at 4:30 and said she wouldn't be back in the office till Monday!

I wanted to kill her.

Just some food for thought.
