I'm getting a Christmas shower!!!

FH is from the south, and apparently in the south, a bride doesn't get just one shower. She gets LOTS of showers, all with different themes. (FH's cousin had SEVEN showers!)

So FH's grandma told me yesterday that when we come down to Alabama for a visit next month, they're going to throw me a Christmas shower! (and I'm not getting married until May!) FH and I just bought a townhouse, so this will be the first year that I'll get to decorate my own house for Christmas. Yay!!! I love southern hospitality....

WOW...Seven showers???? That's a lot of gifts!!!

Yeah, I know! What sweet ladies. I didn't expect anything from FH's side of the family. Apparently, the way they do things down there is give the bride a lot of showers but then the gift for the couple is small. (They don't do the cash gifts at the reception).

I'm psyched! I've never had anything like this done for me before...
