the brides about to send their invites out and trying to figure out the new postage. The worst thing in their lives now is the fact that the wedding stamp isn't coming out until June or July. This happened last year to those of us getting married in the first half of the year and I remember being briefly upset.
Now that the past year has come and gone, I totally forgot about it until they starting crying. I would gladly trade the hell DH and I went through in our first few months of our marriage for the wrong stamp!!

I was freaking out about the postage b/c of my STDs! I remember my SIL going to a post office in NYC to buy stamps after I drove to like a dozen post offices on LI and nobody had 60 & 3 cent stamps - they all wanted to sell me 5 or 6 stamps to add up to the 63 cents!!

Actually, maybe I was one of the only ones, but I remember I could care less about the stamps then, so seeing them freak out about it now makes even less sense to me a year later.

I cared about the stamps because the postage change was smack in the middle of when my responses were to be returned. I mailed them when the stamps were ONE preice and they had to eb returned when postage was ANOTHER price. I ended up putting 60 cent stamps on my repsonse cards. It cost us an extra $30. My peace of mind was worth a hell of a lot more than that so the money was no big deal.

we just sent the invites with the good old $.39 stamps and added the butt-ugly 2 cent stamps just in case people mailed them back after may15th. we could care less what they look like... and we're sure no one else will care either not all of us 07ers sweat the small stuff!

me too!! I didn't really like it at first, but then I just thought - who really cares? They only see it for two seconds before it goes in the mail anyway! Oh well! Not worth stressing over!

So true! I have ugly stamps on mine and I don't care at all. I'm just glad to be getting them done, and as long as the postage amount is right it's good enough for me.
