I showed FI the 'pets' thread and it reminded him of how much he loves dogs (he had to put his 12yo to sleep 5 yrs ago due to prostate cancer and he vowed never to have another puppy b/c putting him to sleep took a lot out of him )
But after showing him your cuties and reminding him that once I start residency I'm going to be out of the house a lot - he said yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait until JUNE! I'm graduating from medical school, I'm getting married, going on an awesome honeymoon, getting a puppy and starting residency!!!!!!!!!!

Thats great news! I remember the day (almost 3yrs ago) when my mom said I could get a puppy!! It was such a great day! Do you know what kind of puppy you want?

I have no idea. I know I need something small and adorable!!! I had a traumatic experience with a big doggie when I was a kid.

I see. How bout a Yorkie? I have one and they are fabulous pets! I cant say the same for my toy poodle (he poops and pees everywhere! )

How about a puggle? They're a cross breed between a pug and a beagle- they're so cute- a friend of mine has one and he's adorable!

I have two dogs and a rabbit...I use to have like 12 hamsters..but they eventually passed away
