I'm getting Lasik today and I'm kinda nervous...I have my appointment for 3:30pm. I had a nightmare last night about them strapping me into some kind of torture chair kicking and screaming and then just started cutting my eyeballs with no numbing drops....I know, kinda dramatic. Has anyone had this done?? How was your experience?? Thanks!

Good luck! Its painless, really.
I had mine done last November...but I had PRK. It took only 60 secs for both eyes. No pain, just a little teary.
You just have to put a lot of medication drops in your eyes for a while and use rewetting drops every 15 minutes.

snowcutie82 had it done. She was fine after because it was the day of my graduationa and she went to dinner with us that night. FM her. But Im not sure where she is as I havn't talked to her yet today...
Lots of luck! My sister just had it done last week, and she said it's unbelievable. She was in some pain, but she said that it's absolutely worth it!

You'll be fine! I've had it done 2x b/c my eyes were so bad to begin with. I went in knowing that it might not correct it fully the first time.
Take it from someone who has gone through it 2x, the second time is more painful b/c they have to re-lift the flap. The first time was a breeze and I was so nervous! You will see that it is one of the best things you could ever do for yourself.
Btw, what dr. are you using? I used Dr. Kelly at Kelly Laser Center in Garden City.

Thanks girls for the support I'm going to Lasik Plus in Westbury. I'm a wuss too that's why I'm nervous. I can't wait to get up tomorrow and be able to see the alarm clock!

Omg! That's exactly what my sister said!! She stayed at my parents apt. the night of the surgery, and when she woke up my mom said she was ecstatic because she could see the alarm clock!!

I used Dr. Kelly too! What a sweetheart he is. Mine was about a month ago and I'm totally fine. it was the best thing I ever did!

I don't mind I'm paying $3,198. I'm using the Custom wavefront Laser because I have large pupils and it will also enhance my night vision. It also includes a lifetime protection plan and all follow-up care and medications. I'm paying $500 down and financing $2,700 to be paid back at $60 a month.

best of luck today!! my friend had PKU done and had no problems. she loves being up to get up and not have to reach for her glasses, especially with having a baby too.
I want to look into lasik! so tired of wearing glasses and contacts. let us know how it goes!

everything will be fine - my friend had it done and said it was a breeze - i cant wait to have it done, i am just waiting until after the wedding so i can save up some money for the first payment
