potential problem: i only have a photocopy of my birth certificate - couldn't find the original. Will this be ok?

I think they require and official seal. call before you waste the time to go down there.

Yeah! We need to do that SOON. We are going to the Town of Hempstead to get ours. I looked this up yesterday, it said 2 forms of valid ID, at least one photo. Not sure whre you are going, but here is their website.ToH
