Because they've been hurting off and on for the past 3 weeks and I didnt want any chance of them hurting on the 'big day' . It means I get a short work week (a small plus side) , but Im scared. How much will my face swell up??? and how long does that last???
How many are you getting out? All four? I went to my dentist for one (bad idea, very swollen for a couple weeks), and an oral surgeon to have 2 at once. The oral surgeon was great--he did it with minimal cutting, so I didn't swell as much. Plus, I followed his instructions for putting ice on--15 mins on, 1 hour off or something like that. I did that a full day or two, and had no swelling. I wasn't eating steak for a while (or anything other than soup or ice cream!), but I looked normal. It took a week or two to get back to normal. I took painkillers for 4 days I believe.
Im getting one side done at a time, I think the right side first, top and bottom. Im going to an oral surgeon recommended by my dentist. I would actually rather get them all out at once, so I dont have to pay twice for the anesthesia, and to get it all finished quicker.
