i'm getting tired of the 'R U Nervius?' question

my wedding is this coming weekend (April 12,2003). Everyone keeps asking me if I'm nervous and when I answer no. They look at me like I'm wierd or something. I've been with my FI for 8 years. I have been planning the wedding for 2 years. The only things that I am worried about is that his sister will go into labor during the ceremony or that the weather will be bad. Both of which I have no control over. I'll admit, I'm very calm. Is this un-normal or am I just well prepared?

My friend laughs when I tell her I'm nervous. she wasn't at all. She said she was more anxious then anything.

I would say you are normal

everyone is different. I am coming up on a month away and I still have soooo much to do but I am not nervous, I am more anxious and stressed than anything. I am hoping that when I have one week left I am done with everything, which leaves me only 4 weeks to get it all done

i am not nervous either. just anxious for the day to be here so i can see everything done and put together. People keeping asking us that also, and look at us funny when we answer them with a 'no'. i can't wait...only 46 days to go! and a TO DO list a mile long...

you are 'un-normal'....you forget that I know where you work....lol (Just kidding)

I still have a way to go but I am not nervous about getting married just about getting done what has to be done!

BTW, I ordered my headpiece & Veil today.

I have realized that when people have nothing to say - they ask stupid blanket questions..

before the engagement - when are you getting married
after engagement/before wedding - are you nervous
after wedding - when are you having kids

I just try to let it go...

I was ready to kill people about that to. I kept saying 'no, what do I have to be nervous about. I'm making the best decision of my life.' I wasn't even nervous the day of... my friends were more nervous than me. DH wasn't nervous either. Everyone kept remarking how calm we were. We knew we were making the right decision and were just trying to enjoy the day. People are so annoying sometimes. I would never say that to someone.

I tried to take it as nervous about the day going as planned as opposed to getting married. A lot of people know how much stress is involved with throwing a wedding and are probably wondering how you're holding up with that.
