I'm so excited! My son and daughter-in-law made their announcement to me yesterday.
This is how my son told me.. We were talking on the phone while I was driving. He asked 'where are you?' 'I'm on 88'. He said, 'is there a lot of traffic?' (we live upstate NY, there's never traffics). So I told him not a soul was out, its -19, no person in their right mind would be out. The he asked 'so theres no cars around you?'. No I said. Then he says 'you what? YOUR GOING TO BE A GRANDMA'. I honestly was soooo lost for words, I burst out into tears. I'm a person that never ever really lost for words but he sure knew how to get me on this. So while I was crying he was laughing at me. That's nothing new!
I wanted to call my daughter so bad and tell her, but I have to realize and take a step back, this is their news and it's not up to me to pass the word onto family members.
She is going to the doctor on Tuesday so we should know more then.
My daughter and I figure sometime in September. I can't believe it. Now I have to get busy staring to prepare my quilting projects.

Thank you, thank you! Yes, this will be my first grandchild. 2004 was some year for me; having my daughter and my son marrying 3 months of eachother, I got through that, NOW if my daughter makes an announcment (which I highly doubt) then not only will this mom be needing tissues, for sure I'll

Thank you all.
I went with my DIL a few days ago for an ultra-sound. I got to see a tiny dot and now flashing my picture, LOL... The doctors had suspected that this was a tubular pregancy, which was giving her a 90% chance of miscarriage. Thank God, everything is is its right place. We have to wait a few more weeks before another ultra-sound to determine the due date.
They have asked what I would perfer, girl or boy; no matter what, I'll love my grandbaby to pieces.
I've already started putting my quilting thoughts in motion. It's exciting.

Gina, it's good to hear the first ultra-sound went well. No doubt it's quite a relief for all of you.

She is very early into the pregancy so its going to seem like forever. I'm thrilled that she has included me so far. After all the wedding dramas that I and my family went through, its a blessing!
