We booked our flights today!!!! We're only going for 4 days but I am so excited!!! I didn't think we were going to get to take a vacation this year because we were saving all of our vaca for the honeymoon but FH said eff it... so we're going over the 4th of July weekend!!!!!

congrats!! We went there a little over a year ago... so much fun!! We did a lot of traveling in a week, tried to see everything and then some! Cork is a bit far for a day trip but really a nice town and we did kiss the blarney stone despite those rumors about the locals peeing on it, lol, it was raining so i figured, what the heck, i just had to do it!
Even just staying in Dublin is nice... there are a few cities and villages not too far away.... Wicklow (we didn't go here but it sounded nice), Kilkenny (nice castle, cute town, new pubs to be seen everywhere lol).
Oh and if you rent a car, really be careful!! We got a flat the first day and spent the second half of the day looking for a place to get the tire changed... then on our way to the tire place (finally, the next day) got a flat in the donut!! The roads ****! lol

Thanks!!!! I love castles so I think I'm going to add Kilkenny to the list instead of Cork... I was looking up times to get from place to place and it looks like a 3.5 hour train ride...
