We booked our flights today!!!! We're only going for 4 days but I am so excited!!! I didn't think we were going to get to take a vacation this year because we were saving all of our vaca for the honeymoon but FH said eff it... so we're going over the 4th of July weekend!!!!!
Now who has been there and what do you recommend doing while we're there???????

I am so jealous!! I love Ireland, went a few years ago and can't wait to go back with FH... just have to wait til after the wedding or else my guest list will triple with all the family there.
What airport are you flying in to, Dublin or Shannon? If it's Dublin, stay around the city of Dublin and go to Waterford. I'm not as familiar with that side of the country... if you're flying into Shannon definitely go to Galway, and I like most of the west of Ireland because it's more like, countryside, I spent time in Clare and Mayo where most of my family is from and I want to say Westport - if I'm right about it being Westport, this was one of my favorite places, went shopping and stuff, it was just really cute. Next time I go back I'm going to Dublin for sure
PS - Do NOT kiss the blarney stone... all the tourists come and kiss it for 'luck.' All the locals pee on it... lol.

i went in June 2007... had the best time ever... pretty much drank from morning till night... the sun stays out till like 10pm... its awesome... where are you going?

We're flying into Dublin and staying there... but thinking of taking a day trip someplace else... maaaybe Cork, we haven't decided. I have some research to do!!!!

Cork is really nice, my cousins go from Dublin to Cork on their breaks from school and stuff. Ahh you're going to have such an amazing time!!

We traveled the whole country of Ireland when I was there in 2005. I dont remember what part of Ireland it is, but if you are near Bunratty Castle, definitlly do that. You can tour the whole castle and have they have a dinner show there. It was awesome.

I went a few years ago, we went everywhere: cork, killkenny, dublin, Shannon, kerry, waterford, cork, galway, and limerick. Its a great place- you will have a great time. Go to the Cliffs of Moher if you can- its beautiful there- google image it and you will see. I loved killkenny if you have time you should try to go.
