IM going to KICK FH vent... (Cleanse WARNING for dieters)

Do NOT use Colon Cleanse as part of your weight loss plan..........

OK so we are dieting and trying to get healthy for the wedding look good feel good etc....

So FH gets this brainiac idea that in order to start fresh we need to have our colons cleaned.

He buys this colon cleanse junk and tells me yesterday how wonderful it is he weighs 5 pounds less he has energy etc.....

So I go well Hun you know I have a bad system (It is a project for me to go) Is this going to give me cramps and paralyze me all day?

He says no its the best stuff on earth I swear you will be so happy! Your going to feel good have energy blah blah blah

So I take it last night and had planned to take it again today well forget that idea

As soon as I got home from work I have had the worlds worst stomach ache! I have horrid cramps so bad I am on the verge of passing out, I can't breathe, I was in the bathroom for over an hour, I have no energy, I don't feel good and I wish the roof would cave in on me!

It is the worst idea he has ever had! I knew we should have just stuck to the meal plan

I need a hospital ughhhhh

Ugh I feel sick

Sorry if this warning was TMI or too graphic but I need to save as many people as I can from dumb FH's everywhere!

which cleanse did you use???? Do you know the brand?
I use one that is really good, it doesn't have those effects, and I feel so good after I've done it for the week.

Drink plenty of water, and you should start feeling better!

OH I just learned this two weeks ago - I tried to do that colon cleanse and fat burners cause nothing was dropping. I was eating and working out and only a half pound would come off. So i did it, yea i lost 5 lbs but I had to take off two days from being so voilently sick. NOT WORTH IT.

Lots of water & bread and just stay near the bathroom.

If you do need some help going naturally drink smooth move tea.. it is not a stimulant laxative and really does help keep lbs off ( with dieting and exercising)

perfect cleanse from garden of life.

Smooth move tea is good if you're constipated and want a smooth move :o) But the cleanse is better if you're looking for a good detox. Any questions, fm me :o)

I don't know about these things. I steer clear of them though. Anything that 'strips' your colon so abrubtly is not a healthy way of going about it. Eating tons of fiber is a better way IMO but to each their own. I really hope you feel better!

bad idea ... I just spoke about this earlier.. Cant use Colon Cleanser ( Laxative ) as a diet supplement.. to loose weight.. NOT GOOD

I use one each day.. me and FH.. never had any effects..BUT its not a laxative.. its a fiber powder that is a cleanser. It cleanses you slowly. It dosent force you to use the bathroom... And the Fiber is healthy for the heart etc.. Just one teaspoon a day in a drink...

BUT you cant use a colon cleanser as a quick weight loss supplement. You have to drink lots of water, diet and incorp one as I descibed in your daily meal.

BTW the one I take is at the Vitamin Shop and its BY Health Plus Inc. High Fiber Colon Cleanse.. powder form.. I never take pills..
