Does it matter to you how much Fh spent on your engagement ring??
FH has a friend, the girlfriend said she doesnt want a 'wedding', and because she doesnt want a 'wedding'. (i guess just go to city hall)....he has to spend at least $10,000 on her ring.....isnt that alittle ridiculous? i think shes crazy for telling him how much he HAS to spend on a ring....

I have no clue how much FH paid for my ring, and I don't want to know!!! It is a gorgeous ring and I love it and that is all that matters. Also, who cares what size it is...as long as you love it, right???

i absolutely dont care how much my ring cost. i know a friend of mine who says her bf better give her a 10k ring or else! lol. im just like whatever keep dreaming. if you have the money then fine, otheriwse its a waste. you can always upgrade your ring at anytime in the future

Give me a break - that's insane. It shouldn't be about the ring - it should be about the commitment you are making to each other. My ring is beautiful and I would never even think of asking him - FH actually used my mom's stone from her e-ring for mine so that means more than anything else

First of all that whole telling him how much her ring HAS to cost is rude. Its like she is assuming he was going to be paying for the ENTIRE wedding on his own anyway, so she is saving him some money and might as well go all out on the ring. Also, she should ask him if he wants a wedding or just wants to go to city hall, we are so quick to assume sometimes that wedding is all about the bride.
As for me caring how much the ring costs, my fh asked me to show him some pictures of the styles I like...I am not concerned with the price tag because it was sweet of him to ask me my preference.

No way..why does that matter? I really don't care at all how much my ring cost. FH was so sweet, he said, maybe in a few years when we have a little more $$$ we can upgrade the stone... and I was like...lets not even think about that now. I can understand that somebody does not want to have a big weddinga nd maybe the couple could decide to take a nice trip together or do something else, but I am always so shocked to hear that some girls have some kind of minimum requirements for their rings...

That is terrible!!
I dont even have a diamond yet. I had one. But it was huge and I felt it was not for my character... or finger... and had him bring it back. Now i have a personalized one with out anniversary on it, just a gold band, nothing major and THAT means more to me than it will when I get the rock!
