I just got a call from the restaurant where we are supposed to get married. They are closing the place and now we have no where to have our wedding...I'm crying hysterically right now. I'm so upset and scared that we won't be able to get married on our date now..our honey moon is booked and everything Please send some hugs and prayers please..I don't know what to do with myself..I feel so devastated and FH is desperately calling around the city seeing if anyone knows of a possible venue..

Does anyone know of anywhere that may have our date available?

Update:

We have two appointments today and FH is so calm, calling every where. You are also amazing and I am so thankful that Tara indroduced me to this site. You have no idea how much you messages and good wishes calmed me.
Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday so far. I will write later to let you know how our appoinments went at Alger House and 3 West Club

OMG OMG OMG Diane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been totally MIA on these boards the last few days with concert stress and had NO IDEA until now! And it's now 7:45am and there's no way I can call you now.

OMG!!! I feel so awful, I can only imagine how you must be feeling.

THIS WILL WORK OUT FOR THE BEST, trust me. But I'm sure the initial shock was something you'd never want to feel again. I am soooo sorry!!

But your wedding is gonna be EVEN MORE AMAZING! NO WORRIES!

One of the positive things is that it's in April - this would be harder to do if you were getting married in the summer.

I just hate when people take your money, and then neglect to stick to a contract . I know it's frustrating, but the Alger place looks GORGEOUS!! In any eveny, us 07'ers rock, and whatever we can do to help, we will. Lots of luck to you.

I went to a wedding at the Alger House and it WAS georgeous, well run and beautiful!!
Who knows, there may be some creedance to the saying, 'When God closes a door, her opens a window.'

(2nd update)

So we went to the Alger House and 3 West Club today. The Alger House was nice but not really our style. In the afternoon we met with Pilar at the 3 West Club and it was amazing! The rooms are beautiful and the menu selections look great!

Soooooo..in less then 25 hours we have a new place!!

AND it's now going to be a Saturday night wedding just like we wanted but never thought we'd be able to afford!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and good vibes..It has helped me so much in the past 24 hours! You are all incredible!

I JUST logged on after being out of the circuit for a bit and yours is the FIRST thread I read. It was like reading a bride soap opera. I was full of angst, worry and disappointment... then a bit of hope - and now YIPPEEE!
