I just got a call from the restaurant where we are supposed to get married. They are closing the place and now we have no where to have our wedding...I'm crying hysterically right now. I'm so upset and scared that we won't be able to get married on our date now..our honey moon is booked and everything Please send some hugs and prayers please..I don't know what to do with myself..I feel so devastated and FH is desperately calling around the city seeing if anyone knows of a possible venue..
Does anyone know of anywhere that may have our date available?

We have two appointments today and FH is so calm, calling every where. You are also amazing and I am so thankful that Tara indroduced me to this site. You have no idea how much you messages and good wishes calmed me. Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday so far. I will write later to let you know how our appoinments went at Alger House and 3 West Club

At least you didn't mail out invitaitons ... that would be SUCH a headache ... you have plenty of time to come up with a Plan B!

There are plenty of places that will acommodate you. You just have to find them. Don't cry. I know I would be hysterical too but gather yourself and make a plan of action. I'm here if you need anything! I'll hop on the first train and come to the city. I'll be lost and cold but i'll be there!!!
I hope that the place is giving you your money back. The first thing you want to do is find that out so you can rebudget. After you find a venue then you have to write letters to all your vendors with the change. The times you can do when you meet with them in February.
Like I said hun, i'm here if you need me and don't be sad bc maybe you will find a better place that costs less money! Easier said than done but.....Think Positive!!!!!

I would DEFINITELY try to get them to come down on price a little, once you figure out where you want to have it .... the date is coming up close, and a lot of places might be happy just for the potential booking at this point ....
Don't push too hard though, you don't want to loose it!

Try Sarabeth's Central Park South. They can hold about 80 at most. It's not your typical wedding place (They do more corporate parties) you get to rent out the whole restaurant! and I know the food is good. I am obsessed with their chocolate mousse cake.

I am sooo sorry that you are going thru this!! I hear that Candela is wonderful for small affairs and also Dopo Teatro is lovely as well!! I hear only good things about Alger House and 3 West Club! You cannot go wrong at any of those places!! Good luck! Keep us posted!!

Wow...good luck...my mouth just opened when I read this post. What a horrible thing to happen with only a few months left to the wedding. GOod luck with the appt and Im sure everything is going to work out...I will pray for you....
