I just went to the post office to weigh my invites and the lady told me $1.56 an invite!!!! Is she serious??? I knew it was more because I have a square and a rhinestone on it, but really?!?! I was expecting a $1.10 at most...

edited bc i forgot my favorite part: When nearly crying in the post office, the biotch behind the counter was like 'well you chose them.' She's right...but I hate her.

maybe try a smaller post office by home...
i mailed myself some samples from that post office and they were butchered! they didnt hand cancel, its not guaranteed they will bc its sooo busy

yeah i'm off on Friday so I think i'm gonna go to the post office at home and see what they say. I wish I would have weighed it BEFORE she ordered all the materials.

i totally feel for you! i HATE the post office. worst place ever.
my suggestion would be to send out one with less postage (like to your parents or something) as a 'test' and see if it makes it. if it comes back, then you know that sadly, the higher price is right.
my MOH sent out half of her STD with more postage than the other half and they all arrived no issue.
bottom line: the post office is a SCAM and will rob you for all you're worth!

Try another one for sure... I am next door to the 54th and 3rd and they were nice to me. I hate the fact the lady was snarky...They are complaining about cutbacks in the postal service, and you get service like that.. ugh.

I would go to as many places that you can, but when it all comes down to it, you should do a smaller post office they will actually take care of you.
Also, go with your ENTIRE invite all set up. I didn't, and had a $0.17 additional charge.
